BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Pavlovas with Summer Berry Sauce

Perfect for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, the right colors too.  It makes me sad that I forget about pavlovas, they are SO good, SO pretty and SO easy to make.  They are just little clouds of goodness and make the perfect ending to any dinner.

If you have never had them, they are basically meringues made into a little bowl, that happen to look like a cloud.  Perfect for dessert after a big heavy meal.   They are so light  and airy.

Brown Butter Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies

Every chocolate chip cookie recipe I've tried has had something to love. This recipe is no exception. It's similar to other recipes that I've made, since it uses melted butter. Instead of just melting the butter, you take the butter to it's delicious nutty browned butter state. Browned butter will definitely be in my ultimate chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Sesame Napa Cabbage Salad

I absolutely love napa cabbage. First off, it’s so pretty – think cabbage gone glamorous. It has great color – all shades of bright green – and texture. Then, pair that with a whole bunch of green onions and cilantro, then some crunchy, sweet snow peas and toasted slivered almonds. Whisk up a deliciously sweet and tangy sesame soy dressing and drizzle and toss just before serving. People will be asking who made the salad.

Roasted Banana Scones with Peanut Butter Glaze

A delicious breakfast recipe using two of my favorite ingredients--bananas and peanut butter.

Port and Paprika Chicken Bites

inimitable port wine, paprika, cilantro, and olive oil—flavor this tapas-style dish.

Bacon Beer Cornbread

I was just feeling cornbread. I wanted it with bacon, and figured hey…  while I’m at it I’ll add some beer. Then spread some butter on it while it’s still hot. Then die because I don’t know what could be better.

Warm Swiss Bacon Bread

I mean how can you go wrong with bread, butter, bacon, and cheese?

Sour Cream Rice Bake

This Sour Cream Rice Bake is pure comfort food. It’s ridiculously easy to make, with just six ingredients. It takes about 40 minutes from start to finish. The flavor is somewhat mellow and the rice is super creamy.
What I’m saying is, this dish is almost as good as laying on the couch in your comfy pants (or no pants, if you want), wrapped in a big, warm blanket, with Bravo or Lifetime on the television for 8 hours straight.
