2 JARS OF PAUL NEWMAN MUSHROOM MARINARA SAUCE
1 POUND OF GROUND CHUCK
4 OR 5 LINKS OF SAUSAGE, HOT OR MILD
1 CONTAINER OF MUSHROOMS ( IF YOU WANT THEM)
PUT JARS OF SAUCE IN KETTLE, PUT WATER IN ONE OF THE JARS, SWIRL AROUND, PUT THAT IN THE OTHER JAR AND SWIRL AROUND, PROBABLY ABOUT 1 CUP OF WATER.
PUT IN THE BEEF, BREAKING IT UP AS YOU PUT IT IN.
CUT THE SAUSAGE IN HALF AND PUT IN THE SAUCE.

Spanish Paella
This is my California-style version, in which I whip up a lively green puree and stir it into the rice at the last second. If you can find turkey chorizo, it's terrific in this paella. If not, look for Italian turkey sausage or use any sausage you like: raw, smoked, or cooked. Good saffron is key. Buy saffron threads and crush them with the back of a spoon just before you use them.
