Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb Lard, for frying
  • 1 1/2 cups onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 lbs hamburger
  • 2 cups tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Corn Meal
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp all spice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp satay sauce - optional (can be purchased at oriental market)

Instructions

1. Melt lard in a deep frying pan.  Add onions, garlin and hamburg.  fry in lard until soft.

2. tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, soy sauce, paprika, satay (if Used), and all spice.   Simmer for 1/2 to 1 hour.

3. Add kitchen bouquet, and corn meal and simmer for an additional 15-30 minutes.

 

If sauce is too chunky, put into a blender or food processor and process until it reaches the desired consistancy.
