Christmas Cookie Bake—-December 11, 2011

Dennis—sponge Cake Petit Fors, butter sandwich (baked a day before), Almond Spritz (baked a day before), Fig Filling and Ricotta Cheese Filling(made a week before), full batch of Basic Cookie Dough

Joan—Sugar cookie cut-outs

Geriann—2 full batches of Kipfuls pastry (mixed ahead), with these changes to Mom’s recipe: instead of oleo, 1/2. Butter and 1/2 cream cheese; add as much honey to the filling as you like

Maria—2 batches of Basic Dough and 1 batch of Cornstarch(Mixed ahead), 2 batches of Cornstarch made on baking day, 2 batches of ButterBalls on baking day

Dennis filled cookies while Geriann, Joan, AnnMary and even Gerald rolled doughs

Joan rolled cut outs and decorated with sugars with helpers Georgia and Margot (Gerald hadn’t arrived yet)

Georgia and Margot filled cookies and decorated Petit Fors and Sandwich Cookies

Gina decorated and filled cookies and then divided and packaged finished cookies and did some dishwashing

Clara helped with filling and decorating and ran up ad down to the kitchen oven to speed up the baking process

AnnMary baked and decorated and watched the downstairs oven

Geriann rolled and decorated

Maria baked and decorated, watched over the oven, did dishes, brought healthy snacks and picked up pizza and subs for lunch
