2 weeks AFTER Easter 2026
I brought the left over ingredients for Easter Bread from Florida to Walworth. I also had a container of Candied Friuit that I wished I'd had for the Easter Bread. It was calling, calling to me!
I decided to make a double batch of Easter Bread. This would be for ourselves and our kids. (We delivered a loaf to Jeneve's family and to Jered. We froze one for Denielle too).
Here's the kicker.....I was completely out of granulated sugar. Soooooo, I had most of the ingredients mixed and couldn't throw it all out. I used Confectiione's sugar. The same amount as the recipe called for, but confecntioner's not granulated.
The interned DOES NOT recommend this substitution. I went with it anyway.
Well, according to Joan, this was the best Easter Bread I've ever made....She often says that, but I agree with her this year. I just might make this substitution fro now on when making this sweet bread.
