Repeat Ingrediants?
Thanks for the answer to this...next question:
How do I list repeat ingrediants in a recipe that has Filling, Crust etc. I know how to breatk out the ingrediants based on the post I read here on the forum, but it does not mention repeats. I worked around using abbreviation, but is there a better way?
Thanks.

re: ingredient list edit question
nunzio04,
You've brought up a frustrating shortcoming of the current system. Whenever you change or update an ingredient, currently it will cause the order in the list for that ingredient to change. It's an annoying side effect.
We plan on providing a convenient way to re-order the ingredient list in an upcoming new release, but in the meantime, we've just added a new column in the ingredients list that will allow you to re-order ingredients.
It's a tad clunky, but we really do need to provide a way to re-order the list before we're ready with the next update release, so hopefully this will help.
Notice the new 'item#' column. Let's say you want to flip item# 4, "coarse salt" with the last ingredient 'fresh ground black pepper'. You would change the item# for 'coarse salt' to 7 and the item# for 'fresh ground black pepper' to 4 as follows:
Then save the recipe to save your changes to the ingredient list order.
Try it out and reply back here if if works OK for you.

re: work around when you have section headings
nunzio04,
yes, duplicate ingredient descriptions within the same recipe are not currently allowed. An update that will be coming out soon will allow this. In the meantime, we usually suggest appending one or more asterisks (*) at the end of the description to differentiate similar/like ingredient entries such as ...
- extra virgin olive oil *
- extra virgin olive oil **
It's not ideal (and not exactly beautiful), but a workaround for now. Your workaround of changing the description is fine as well.
Which brings us to the other more annoying issue. Whenever you change or update an ingredient, currently it will cause the order in the list for that ingredient to change. A frustrating side effect. This will be fixed in the upcoming release, but in the meantime, we've just added a new column in the ingredients list that will allow you to re-order the ingredient list.

See if that works for you.

Work around when you have section headings
I have a recipe with 2 section headings and there are repeated ingrediants in each section. Ex. Extra-virgin olive oil. When I used the ingrediant again, it gave me the error message and I had to shorten to EVOO for it to take.
Again, I lost a line in the edit and need to reinsert an ingrediant in the proper section.
Thanks.

re: lost first recipe
Sorry you had trouble adding your first recipe. What was the title of the recipe?
The system log recorded 2 recipes that you added this morning.
- Aunt Betty's Surprise saved at 8:45am PT
- Forgotten Cookies saved at 10:06am PT
You should be able to access both from "My Recipes". I do notice that Aunt Betty's Surprise only has a description, missing the ingredients and instructions section. Is this what you're referring to that you "lost" the recipe? Did you key this recipe in and then lose the ingredients and the instructions?
Also see that you added a cookbook and both recipes do appear in the cookbook.
Please provide more details so we can help.
