Banana Pudding Cookies

The Banana Cream Pudding gave the cookies the perfect banana flavor. You can’t have banana pudding with out vanilla wafers, so I added chopped up vanilla wafers into the cookie dough too! They added a nice little crunch and brought the banana pudding flavor to life. I stirred in white chocolate chips for the sweet whipped cream flavor.

If you are a banana pudding fan, you HAVE to make these Banana Pudding Cookies. Get your banana pudding fix in cookie form!

Baked Blueberry Pancakes

I've been making breakfast on Sunday mornings.  I had some blueberries (my favorite) and decided to make blueberry pancakes.  I didn't want to take the time to make individual pancakes, so I just mixed everything up and threw it in the oven.  OMG - delicious!!  This took about 5 minutes to whip together and it was fantastic.  We served it with some maple syrup and bacon.  This was actually easy enough to make during the week before school.  If you aren't a blueberry fan, feel free to mix up the fruit or leave it out entirely.

Chipolte Mayonaisse

Chipotle mayo is a pretty hot condiment whose popularity is well-deserved. With just a few ingredients, you can create a complex mixture of spicy, cool, earthy, and smoky that becomes an excellent spread for sandwiches and burgers, or a dip for fries, chips, and veggies.

Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches

Looking for an amazing, delicious and cheap dinner recipe for a busy day? Then look no further, this meal takes about 5 minutes prep work and it's flavor is phenomenal. It only takes is a few simple ingredients to spice up a cheap cut of beef. These french dip sandwiches are loaded with fall apart tender beef (if your roast isn't fall apart tender after cooking it 8 hours then you may want to consider a purchasing a new slow cooker, I used one once that had a gap between the lid and the slow cooker so it didn't have a good seal on it, therefor the roast cooked unevenly and wasn't anywhere near tender enough). Cheese is optional but I'd say it's a must, it perfectly compliments all the flavors of the beef.
Serve this sandwich with a side of kettle chips and you've get a dinner that couldn't get any simpler. Yes you could brown the beef in olive oil prior to slow cooking it, and you could replace the onion powder and garlic powder with the real thing but I made this recipe to be quick, basic, and incredibly delicious without sacrificing any flavor. No time wasted on chopping veggies and searing the beef. Just toss everything in and relax while the slow cooker does all the work. Enjoy!

Creamy White Chicken and Artichoke Lasagne

I mean come on…Creamy White Sauce….Chicken….Artichokes….Lasagna!!! I’m craving it right now just thinking about it…and I am not in the least bit hungry!

Homemade Self Rising Flour

Have you ever come across a recipe that calls for self-rising flour? It’s pretty common in recipes like cobblers, muffins, and biscuits. There is a small but VERY significant difference between all-purpose flour and self-rising flour.

Self-rising flour is actually all-purpose flour that has had leavening agents (usually baking powder and salt) added to it. It’s convenient to use if you already have some in your pantry, but if you ever find yourself needing it and you’ve only got all-purpose, I suggest saving time and money by mixing a batch of your own.  Yeah, sometimes I get good ideas.  Let’s roll with that, ok?

Goat Cheese and Gruyere Artichoke Toasts

The acidity of the lemon balances out the saltiness of all the cheese, and creates great depth of flavor. The last thing the toasts are is bland. They are creamy and delicious : ) Quite a winner for something that I pulled out of the fridge in 5 minutes! I challenge you to do the same with your expensive leftover ingredients- it’s really quite fun.

Sopapilla Cheesecake

Simple, quick, and shockingly good. I love those types of desserts.

Rustic Garlic-Balsamic Pork Chops

Nice, thick, bone-in pork loin chops are so flavorful on their own they don't need too much in the way of seasoning. Here I have pan-seared the chops in garlic-scented oil, and added just a splash of balsamic vinegar to give them a little bit of zing.

Buttermilk Drop Biscuits

These are really good and super quick to make.  You can really taste the buttermilk.  They are soft and tender. You can add some cheese and/or garlic to make these even better.  These will be going into the rotation!
