Venison BBQ on a Bun
Description
Might also work well with any type of roast.
Ingredients
- 4 lb Venison Roast
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 Onion -finely diced
- 1 green pepper finely diced
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke, hickory flavor
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
Additional ingredients
2 tbsp. Worchester sauce
1 tbsp. hot pepper to taste
14 – 16 Hamburger buns
Directions:
Place roast in a large crock pot.
Mix remaining ingredients and pour over roast.
Cover and cook for 4-1/2 – 5 hours
Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Strain sauce.
Break apart meat into slivers with a fork.
Return ingredients to a saucepan and stir until coated and warm.
Put on bun and serve.
