Description
Ingredients
- 18 1/2 ozs box yellow cake butter mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups chopped dates
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 8 ozs cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 359.
Combine cake mix, butter and 2 eggs. Blend well.
Spread in well-greased 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle with dates and nuts. Press into cake mix.
Mix powdered sugar-cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs and vanilla.
Spread on top of dates and nuts. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
Cake will sink in the middle. Refridgerate. Freezes well. Serves 10 to 12.
May be topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
